there is a magnificent bird that flies around ohio state's campus. it kills small rodents without a second thought. it is majestic; it does not fly away when humans walk beneath the branches of the tree in which it lives by mirror lake.
i have often wondered what it might be like to see that same bird attack college students who use words like "increasement" on their exams.
presumably, it would be similar to the same bird attacking a graduate student who claimed that the markup of a firm that is a price-taker is (e/e-1).
there is only one group of individuals that know the answer to this question-they are from montreal and use a variety of techniques to convey messages to us. among these techniques: music.
quiet desperation.
analogous to the story: the minnesota timberwolves, the most interesting team on the planet.

i will clarify.
the bird, which actually exists, represents a strong, mobile, enforcer of justice. it is a bird of prey that is probably at least ten pounds.
as i was grading economic history exams, i encountered words like "increasement" and disagreeance." however, on an exam earlier this year, i claimed that a price-taking firm had a markup of (e/e-1). obviously, any price-taking firm has no markup.
the juvenile nature of both errors is a problem that only this bird of prey could rectify; however, i do not feel that i have the imaginative power to picture this scenario. only the arcade fire, with their superior descriptive prowess and abilities to create music that energizes the senses, would be able to give us the proper imagery.
quiet desperation is a reference to thoreau, which is a particular quote that was running through my head at the time.
now, consider the timberwolves, a team with kevin garnett, an nba "bird of prey." if you consider his teammates to be mistake-ridden individuals who "don't keep it real," you can see how the stories are linked.
Of course, how dumb of me to not pick up on that.
any story with hidden meaning isn't really very good anyway. depth is for suckers.
console me; my distaste for florida is almost too much to bear.
The only consolation that I would give to Buckeye nation is that your big man played like the man-beast that he is. I've never seen the likes from Odin, excuse me, Oden.
